Just Sleep Well ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Apple Health Data: Sleep sessions, heart rate, HRV, respiratory rate, activity, and nutrition data you authorize — read only with your permission and used to compute your Rest Score and find patterns in your own data
  • Manual Entries: Caffeine, alcohol, and "what happened last night" logs you add from the morning notification or in the app, plus any custom tags you create
  • Snore Detection (optional): If you turn this on, audio is analyzed on your iPhone in real time to detect snoring. It is never recorded, saved, or transmitted anywhere
  • Exporting & Deleting Your Data: You can export your nights as a CSV or delete everything Just Sleep Well has stored, anytime, from More > Your data in the app

Health Data (Apple HealthKit)

Important: Just Sleep Well integrates with Apple HealthKit to read and/or write health data. This data is used solely to provide the app's core functionality and is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

We access health data only with your explicit permission. You can revoke this access at any time through your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Just Sleep Well.

All health data is processed and stored entirely on your device. It is never uploaded, synced, or transmitted anywhere.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the app's core functionality
  • To send you notifications and reminders (when enabled)
  • To improve and optimize the app experience
  • To respond to your support requests

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored:

  • Locally: On your device using encrypted storage

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

  • Export your data in a portable format

Data Retention

There are no accounts and no servers. Your data stays on your device until you delete it — you can delete everything the app has stored at any time from More > Your data.

Children's Privacy

Just Sleep Well is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
