How does I'm There work?

I'm There lets you share your real-time availability with friends. You can broadcast that you're free right now, share upcoming free times from your calendar, coordinate group meetups, or let friends know you'll be at a specific place. Friends see your availability and can respond to connect spontaneously.

Does the app track my location in the background?

No. I'm There only accesses your location when you actively choose to share it through features like "Who's Around." Location sharing is always initiated by you and expires automatically based on the duration you set. The app does not continuously track your location.

How does friend discovery with contacts work?

When you grant contacts access, phone numbers are hashed (one-way encrypted) before being sent to our server to find matches. Your contacts are never stored in plain text on our servers. You can skip this step and add friends manually using invite links instead.

What calendar data does the app access?

When you share free times from your calendar, the app reads your event titles, start/end times, and availability status to identify when you're free. This data is used to create shareable availability windows. Calendar data is only accessed when you use the "From Calendar" sharing feature.

How do I delete my account and data?

You can delete your account from the app's Settings screen. This permanently removes your profile, all shared availability, friend connections, and any stored data from our servers within 30 days.

Why am I not receiving notifications?

Make sure notifications are enabled in your device Settings > Notifications > I'm There. Also check that you have a stable internet connection. If notifications were previously working, try signing out and back in to refresh your push notification token.
